Since launching in 2003, Marabella Productions has produced over 200 hours of series and documentary programming, including executive producing six series on ID. In 2004, the company’s award winning one-hour documentary on the space shuttle Columbia accident, COMING HOME FROM SPACE: The Challenge of Reentry, earned a News and Documentary Emmy® nomination for Outstanding Science, Technology, and Nature Programming.

As a follow-up, Discovery commissioned the company to produce RETURN TO FLIGHT, a three-hour mini series that follows NASA engineers and astronauts as they prepare for the first space shuttle launch since the tragedy. In May of 2007, BASE CAMP MOON premiered as the first episode in Discovery Science Channel’s highly touted Space Week and won a Cine Golden Eagle. Shortly following, Marabella Productions co-produced AMERICA’S LOST H-BOMB with Discovery— the story of a U.S. nuke lost in the shoals of Tybee Island Georgia and still missing since 1958.

Since 2015, principal partner, Mark Marabella, has executive produced eight true crime series all of which were ratings hits and picked up for second seasons. And in 2019, the company sold a new series and struck a deal with award-winning Stephen David Entertainment to produce more true crime series. Marabella Productions is headquartered in New York City.

MARK MARABELLA is an Emmy® nominated executive producer and founder of Marabella Productions. Over 25 years, he has developed, sold, funded, written, produced, and directed more than 300 hours of sit-coms, live-to-tape concerts, talk shows, documentary specials and non-fiction series for VH1, Discovery, I.D., Science, History, National Geographic, MSNBC, Travel, PBS, and HBO Max.

In 2009, Mark also founded ONLY-HD.com, an HD footage database featuring hundreds of hours of HD footage shot by award-winning cinematographers around the world. That same year, he helped launch heritageradionetwork.org, an on-line podcast network composed of more than two-dozen shows. While there, Mark co-hosted the Q-Report.

Prior to founding Marabella Productions, Mark was the showrunner and writer of 60 hours of Discovery’s prime-time true crime procedural series THE FBI FILES for three and half seasons. Through his storytelling, the award-winning series became number one on Discovery two years running, remaining among Discovery’s highest rated series of all time. More recently, the series anchored the launch of Discovery’s true crime channel, Investigation Discovery (I.D.), and can now be streamed on Amazon and fast channels.

Partner Business Affairs

Doily Reyes is a partner in charge of business affairs at Marabella Productions. In 2003, she served the young start-up by keeping it fiscally sound as she booked production crews and talent across the planet for Discovery, History, National Geographic and Science Channel documentaries.

Doily began her career helping fashion music documentaries and videos as MTV’s sole archivist in New York City. For seven years in her role with MTV, she liaised exclusively with top independent production companies and directors from around the globe who sought special access to the music channel’s premiere video and awards show archives.

In 2009, as Marabella Productions began to grow and thrive, Doily deployed her archival skills once again to become a corporate partner a second time and help launch a second company, ONLY-HD.com– an HD footage database of hundreds of hours of HD footage shot by award-winning cinematographers around the world.
